Yes, this has to do with the open source movement and the free software movement, which the objective is make the source code of software open, free to share, and so on. For example:

• The GNU Operating system and the Free Software movement
• The Linux kernel
• The OpenBSD operating system
• The Haiku OS

It is important to notice that our channel does not have any relation with the projects above, it is just that it does interests us.
